ALZHEIMER'S NEVADA is a trusted and respected source of knowledge in our community.  Our instructors possess a wealth of education, knowledge and practical experience which give us the ability to teach and train our students at a higher level.  ANV Academy-ANVA provides its students with the ability to gain a robust set of skills which enable its students to better care for their loved ones, clients, patients and those they provide care or case management for.  Through the process of facilitating learning our students gain an acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, and habits to build upon their personal & professional development.


Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory, cognition and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest of tasks. In most people with Alzheimer’s, symptoms first appear in their mid-60s. Estimates vary, but experts suggest that more than 5 million Americans may have Alzheimer’s.​

The ALZHEIMER'S & DEMEMTIA CERTIFICATE provides students with knowledge, tools and professional development to better serve family members, clients and patients.


Trauma-informed care is a model of care which shifts the focus from; what’s wrong with a individual to what may have happened to that individual.

This course places a heavy emphasis on self and our own history of learning.  The knowledge and education gained from this certification course will provide the learner with a greater understanding of themselves as it pertains to who they are serving .


​Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.


De-escalation must begin long before situations arise.  This course provides the learner with the ability to better understand themselves and the people they serve.  This will give them the ability to proactively prepare crisis and deescalate crisis which may arise. 

 Students will then be better able to avoid or prevent an escalation in undesired behavior and present a more patience, empathetic and compassionate leader.


ANVA's Certified Care/Case Management Course which provides students with the ability to become Certified in Care and/or Case Management. Students will be introduced to concepts which will assist them in their personal and professional growth. Students will become knowledgeable and develop a level of comfort with care/case management and this will translate in the work that they deliver day in and day out.


ANVA's Recertification in Care/Case Management Course provides our students to be recertified each year.  Our curricula re-introduces key concepts of learning through the certification process and also provides us with the ability to reconnect with our students.  At the same time, we are able to introduces and update with new or additional best practices which provides students with the ability to become Certified in care and/or case management.
